Who we are. vyBeam LLC operates vyBeam (vybeam.com). Questions: privacy@vybeam.com.

What we collect

Account data (email, username, salted password hash); content you upload or post; watch history for signed-in users; approximate usage data — watch-time is aggregated per video per day.

Counting a view. A view is counted only after a video has actually played for a few seconds, and only once per viewer per video per day. To do that without accounts we set one cookie, vybeam_did, holding a random id that identifies a browser and nothing else — no name, no email, no profile. We also store a one-way, daily-rotating hash of your network (not your address: an IPv4 /24 or IPv6 /64, which covers a whole household or office) so that no single network can inflate a creator's view count. The hash cannot be reversed to an IP address and cannot be linked across days. Both exist to keep creator payouts honest.

Cookies we set: a session cookie when you sign in, and the view cookie above. Nothing else — no third-party cookies, no cross-site tracking.

Video watch history (VPPA notice)

Your watch history is used only to power your History page, your recommendations, and aggregate creator statistics. We do not sell or disclose your personally identifiable video-viewing history to third parties. You can clear your watch history at any time from the History page; clearing deletes it from our database.

Processors

Infrastructure runs on Cloudflare (hosting, video delivery).

Google Cast on Android. The Android app includes the Google Cast SDK. It automatically sends Google anonymous Cast discovery and session information plus device, SDK, and client-app metadata for Cast reliability and aggregate SDK analytics. This data is not linked to a vyBeam account, is not used for cross-app tracking, and is not available to vyBeam.

We will name any additional processor here before it receives any data from vyBeam.

Your rights

You can request account deletion in the vyBeam mobile app or at vybeam.com/account/delete. Access is revoked and public content is removed when the request is submitted; permanent deletion is completed within 30 days. We retain only records required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and creator payouts. Email privacy@vybeam.com to access your data or exercise another privacy right. Residents of California, the EU, and other jurisdictions may have additional statutory rights; we honor verified requests regardless of residence.

Children

vyBeam is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data; accounts require an age attestation at signup.
